Kingdom Tales the Musical
St. Mary's Church, Little Falls
Kingdom Tales is for All Ages!
Kingdom Tales, a contemporary Christian musical, will be performed on Wednesday, August 6 at 7 p.m., at St. Mary’s Church, 305 4 th Street SE, Little Falls.
Kingdom Tales asks the question, “What is the Kingdom like?” A group of teenagers come together to ponder that question using songs and humor, by updating the stories of the parables. “Excuses” tells all the stories of why people don’t go to church until a young homeless man steps forward and tells the joy he found in church. Three students ponder what the real meaning of confirmation is, is framing your certificate and hanging it up enough? And do the stories of the Good Samaritan or the Prodigal Son have meaning in our lives today? The play is in upheaval when the church ladies appear for their potluck and to sing the praises of “Yello Jello!”
This musical was written by Reverend Todd Mattsen of First Lutheran Church in Morris. He has written a series of fun and thoughtful musicals for young people.
