Dr. Edward Turley
Dr. Edward Turley holds the degree of doctor of musical arts from the University of Colorado. He is a professor of piano and is in the Music Department for the College of St. Benedict and St. John's University. He is active throughout the Upper Midwest as recitalist, soloist, accompanist, clinician and adjudicator and has been featured in a number of Twin Cities concert series as well as on Minnesota Public Radio.

Mary Anderson
Mary Anderson, A.A., received her degree from St. Cloud State University with emphasis on music and piano pedagogy. She teaches piano and organ at the Music Center. Ms. Anderson is also a church organist and handbell director and is available for help in church music leadership.

Pat Boser
Pat Boser attended Dickinson State University as a music major with an emphasis in pipe organ and tenor sax. She then graduated from Texas Women's University with a music therapy major and psychology minor. From 1966 to 1983 she taught music therapy at the Brainerd Regional Human Services Center. Pat has taught piano and organ lessons at St. John Nepomuk Elementary School in Lastrup and St. Michael's Elementary in Buckman and now at the consolidated Holy Trinity School in Pierz. She also teaches organ lessons at St. John's Church in Lastrup and in her home. Pat is also the church organist at St. John's in Lastrup and plays for area weddings.

Edith Browning
Edith has extensive experience in teaching voice and piano, performing as a mezzo soprano, and in church music as a soloist, section leader, and choir director.  Ms. Browning has taught at the Sarasota Fine Arts Academy, Florida; College of Musical Arts, Bowling Green State University; and the Bedford Public Schools in Temperance, Michigan.  Edith is available to teach voice, piano, and music appreciation.

Robyn Gray
Robyn has B.A. dgrees in Elementary Education and Theatre Arts. She is also a licensed parent educator in Early Childhood Education. Robyn has life long theatre experiece in directing, acting and choreographing. Along with teaching dance classes, she is the director of the Music Center and works in the ECFE program in Little Falls.

Tony Kapinos
Tony Kapinos, B.A., graduated from St. John's University with degrees in Piano Performance and Music Composition. He has performed at numerous recitals at St. John's University and performed Beethoven's 3rd Piano Concerto with the Willmar Community Orchestra. Mr. Kapinos is available to teach all levels of piano, composition and flute.

Dorothy Koopman
Dorothy Koopmann has a Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, and has had additional studies at Westminster Choir College and the New School for Music Study with Frances Clark and Lynn Freeman Olson. She has served as accompanist/ coach for the Detroit Lakes and Lake Park/Audubon Junior and Senior High Schools, Playhouse 412 in Detroit Lakes, Fargo-Moorhead Community Theater, and other venues. Dorothy has been organist at several churches in the Detroit Lakes and Fargo-Moorhead areas and is now organist for the Franciscan Sisters and First Lutheran Church in Little Falls. Dorothy is available to teach all levels of piano, organ, and voice.

Greg Langlois
A native of Kentwood, LA, Greg has almost completed a theater degree. He now pursues work selling and teaching guitar. He also records various styles of music from rock, pop, blues, and Latin in a home studio in St. Cloud. Greg enjoys listening to and teaching all types of music from blues to Bach.

Terri Mick
Teri Mick originally hails from Willmar where she competed for six years in the Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association. Teri has taught various age groups from 4 year-olds to 8th grade. She is currently the head coach for the Little Falls Middle School Team. Teri also has a strong musical education and background.

Kathryn Pederson
Kathryn Pederson, B.S., attended Hamline University in St. Paul and received her degree from Mankato College to teach K-12 music. In addition, she has completed graduate courses at St. Cloud State University. She has taught vocal music in the Pierz Public Schools and, more recently, piano, at the Central Minnesota School of Music in St. Cloud. Presently she also maintains a private studio in her home.

Julieanne Rabens
Julieanne has joined the staff at St. Francis Music Center to teach harp and piano. Ms. Rabens has of Master of Music in Harp from Northern Illinois University and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition with a Piano Pedagogy minor from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Julieanne has also been a member of Healing Harps since 2002. She has found playing the harp in hospitals and nursing homes very rewarding.

Julieanne is available to teach harp at all levels. She is also available to teach harp to people with special needs. Her research and clinical experience with special needs includes the following areas: visual impairment, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, arthritis, high functioning autism, hearing impairment, fibromyalgia, specific learning problems involving memory, and is continually researching additional areas to add to this experience.

 

Muriel Poehler
Muriel will teach an alternative guitar method which is much easier on the fingers and easier to learn. This is a perfect method for younger students to start on and for adults who want to learn to strum along on songs without a lot of study. This is also a great method for fingers that are not so nimble but need the exercise.

Muriel's formal education includes a Bachelor of Science (Comprehensive Science, Biology Emphasis) degree from St. Cloud University. Her education in chemistry, physics and biology has served as the firm foundation upon which her self-directed art and music education is based. She is a former classroom science teacher and riding instructor (including at the former equestrian center at the College of St Benedict, St. Joseph, Minn). She continues as a visual arts mentor for the MN State Arts Board's mentorship program.

Muriel has lived at her Many Ways Ranch in central Minnesota since 1965 where horses, art and music have been the main venue. As a working artist, most of her work is done in oils, pastel and watercolors, and mixed media.

Adam Rowland
Adam studied piano under Tony Kapinos for several years. He is now a student in the Piano Pedagogy Program at St. Cloud State University where he has won several scholarships for piano performance. Adam plans on advancing his education by pursuing a master’s degree after receiving his Bachelors. In addition to playing piano he also sings solo and in choir. Adam is available to teach piano.

Sister Kay Rundquist, OSF
Sister Kay Rundquist, M.M., has a BA in Piano and Music Education K-12 from the College of Saint Teresa in Winona; advanced studies in Piano and Music History from the University of Michigan; and a Masters degree in Pastoral Ministry and Spirituality from Seattle University. She has been a member and adjudicator for the National Guild of Piano Teachers for over 35 years. Sister Kay has also been a somatologist and teacher on staff at The Spiritual Center for the last ten years, a pastoral minister of music and liturgy, and a classroom and music teacher. As a Reiki master and master instructor of Integrated Energy Therapy, she is active in exploring music and energy in connection with body awareness and healing.

Keven Stueven
Kevin Stueven, B.S., is a professional woodwind instrumentalist (primarily clarinet and saxophone), music and theatre educator, clinician, composer, actor, and theater director. He is very active in regional performing groups. Kevin is available to teach all levels of woodwinds, and beginning and intermediate band instruments and piano lessons. He is also available to teach composition and theater courses.

Christopher Taylor
Christopher has been teaching percussion for 8 years; six of which were dedicated to the Hutchinson summer marching band drum line, the Sauk Rapids drum line and percussion program, the Dassel-Cokato winter drum line, and the St. Cloud All-City winter drum line. Along with teaching, Christopher was able to pursue his love of marching for four years with Chops Inc. Drum and Bugle Corps, marching in Chopstix as center snare for two years and drum line captain for one year. His newest love is drumming with his band - Pullstart Diesel. Christopher is able to teach all aspects of percussion, especially drum set and marching percussion.

Celo V'ec
A student of Aldo Parisot at Yale School of Music,
Mr. V’ec holds a B.A, in Music Theory and Composition from Yale University. Drawing on his thirty years of experience as a professional violinist, Mr. V’ec is available to teach all levels of violin, viola and ‘cello. He is also the director of our two string ensembles and is currently offering a class in college-level music theory.

Hillary Vermillion
Hillary Vermillion, M.M., is an alumni of St. Cloud State University and a graduate of the University of Minnesota where she earned a Master of Music degree in voice performance. In addition to presenting several art song recitals, Ms. Vermillion has been active in opera programs at St. Cloud State University and at the University of Minnesota. She teaches voice and cello at the Music Center.

Jonathon Woods
Jonathon Woods recently graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in music theory and composition. His performing instrument in college was voice. He also plays cello and guitar. He loves all
aspects of music but enjoys composing more than anything. He listens to rock, classical, jazz, folk, alternative, jam bands, and everything in between. Jonathon is available to teach voice and guitar.
